Men (Married or Single); This is a group designed to reach out to male inmates at the local Detention Center. This FCserves Jail Outreach program has a goal of reaching OUT with the love of Christ in order to touch and encourage the incarcerated with "Hope and Purpose" in local detention centers. We are evangelistic-hearted sharing the gospel by bringing church to them through Pastor Jentezen Franklin's preaching via Free Chapel service DVDs and praying with the participants during and after every visit. Training in the form of mentoring from FCserves Jail Outreach Leaders is provided after the Jail approval process.

Thank you for your personal interest in participating as a volunteer in Free Chapel Buford's efforts to reach out to the communities we serve and make a difference in peoples' lives through our relationship with Streetwise. The mission of StreetWise is to offer physical, emotional, mental and spiritual tools to help struggling families stabilize their lives, improve their environment, and ultimately move into a state of well-being and self-sufficiency. StreetWise takes a personal ministry approach to helping families in need of food, clothing and training. Here is how our volunteers work! On the second Saturday of every month, StreetWise Georgia takes part in an initiative to feed more needy families in our local communities. We receive shipments of food from the food bank and it is then divided into individual bags, put onto pallets in our parking lot, and distributed to needy families from all across our communities. For more information copy and paste this address into your internet browser: http://www.streetwisegeorgia.org/programs/mobilefoodpantry/ The highlight of the month for our dedicated volunteer groups is when Free Chapel volunteers are able to get hands-on and respond to one of the community's greatest challenges: Hunger. The goal of the Streetwise Mobile Food Pantry is to serve a large number of clients (200+) and their families in a single day, all receiving the same amount of food per appointment, and with a large volunteering group, this can be accomplished in a relatively short period of time. The service opportunity for the Mobile Food Pantry is the second Saturday of each month at the StreetWise facility located at 1770 Cedars Road - Lawrenceville, GA. If you want to serve please show up in casual, comfortable clothes to help with packaging and loading food into cars of needy recipients who are pre-scheduled for arrival times. Volunteers arrive at 9:30 AM and are finished no later than 1:00 PM. Please go thru the front entrance and sign in. You will then be given assignments and directions. Need more information or answers to questions? Please e-mail Rose Elliott, FC StreetWise Service Group Leader, at [email protected]
