Soldier For The Cross Mission and Intent is to always Keep It Real and To bring Christian men together, alongside one another, walk in faith and to discover the biblical significance of character and integrity. We will share our struggles and concerns without the fear of rejection or disappointment. It's a group of men committed to helping each other become the godly men we are called to be, through authentic accountability and transparency, first with God, then with one another as brothers in Christ.Let's face it, many times as Christian men; we find ourselves living according to the world's standards and less by God's. We abandoned and compromised our character and integrity, and we fall short of our high calling and purpose in Christ Jesus. We want to live in the light, yet often we find ourselves standing in the shadows.Although true in general, this is especially true of Christian men. It seems that somehow, along the way, we lost more than our character and integrity. We lost our purpose as men of God. We are called to advance the Kingdom of God. We lost the ability to recognize that we are called out, to walk by a higher standard than the rest of the world. We are saved by grace and called out to reflect His glory, to be beacons of light, in a darkened world. In short , we were saved for a purpose, and that purpose was to shine. We were destined to become men of godly character and integrity so that our actions and behaviors reflect the love of Christ. We want to do right , but we become quickly frustrated and discouraged, finding ourselves constantly missing the mark. As a result, some of us drift and attempt to blend into the Christian landscape of the world, even though the desire to do right is there. Our desire is not backed by a commitment, strong enough to stand alone. For this reason we need community; we need others to stand in the gap with us, to stand beside us, to help each other, walk out this life of faith.Aside from food, clothing, and shelter, one of the most basic needs in life is a relationship with God and others. Unfortunately within the Christian setting, it can be difficult to develop deep and significant relationships. Instead we develop independent attitudes towards the Christian life, and we chose to walk alone. And, in time of trials and troubles, our isolation is amplified. The enemy loves this "lone ranger' Christian approach, as it allows him to destroy our destiny and purpose one believer at a time.
