Prison Ministry

Free Chapel's Prison Ministry extends to various correctional facilities, aiming to bring hope and spiritual support to those incarcerated. Our ministry spans across multiple state prisons, including Metro Reentry Prison, Hays State Prison, Whitworth Women's Facility, Phillips State Prison, and Phillips State Transitional Center. Additionally, we are actively engaged with local facilities, such as Hall County Jail, and Hall County Correctional Institute. See below for information regarding each facility we partner with.

 

Serving in the Prison Ministry means you will assist in conducting a simulated live service using one of Pastor Jentezen's messages that will be viewed on screen through the different facilities. If you are interested in joining our mission, fill out our Prison Ministry serve team interest form by clicking here. Atlanta Metro Reentry

Service Time is Every Thursday from 5:00pm-7:30pm

 

Shuttle Option

The Shuttle departs from Free Chapel Gainesville at 2:45 PM. Additional pick-up location at 1055 Old Peachtree Rd NW, Lawrenceville, GA 30043, at 3:15 PM for those in the Lawrenceville area. The shuttle will transport participants to the Metro Reentry Prison and return them afterward.

 

Driving Option

Volunteers may choose to drive directly to the prison facility.

Hays State Prison

Service Time Every Wednesday 10:00am-11:30am

 

Shuttle Option

There is a shuttle that meets at Free Chapel Gainesville at 7:00 AM.  

Driving Option

Volunteers may choose to drive directly to the prison facility.

Whitworth Women's Facility

414 Valley Hart Rd Hartwell, GA 30643.

 

Service Time Every Wednesday, from 6:00pm-8:00pm

 

Shuttle Option

There is a shuttle that meets at Free Chapel Gainesville at 3:15pm and will bring them back to Free Chapel Gainesville.

 

Driving Option

Volunteers may choose to drive directly to the prison facility.

Phillips State Prison

There is no shuttle for this facility.

Phillips State Transitional Center

Hall County Jail

Service Time Every Sunday at 8:15am-10:15am and 10:30-12:15 am.

Hall County Correctional Institution

Service Time 2nd, 4th, 5th Sunday at 7:00pm-8:30pm

Lee Arrendale State Prison

Service Time Every 3rd Sunday of the month

 

Shuttle Option

A shuttle is available in Oakwood at 8:30 AM.

 

Driving Option

Volunteers may choose to drive directly to the prison facility.

Jackson County CI

Service starts at 7:00pm

 

There is no shuttle for this facility.

Financial Accountability

Free Chapel is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). Founded in 1979, ECFA has more than 1,500 leading Christian nonprofit organizations as members. When a ministry has the ECFA seal, its donors can know that the organization’s “financial house” is in order and can see where their resources are going.
